Phonebook sync to IP phones

The ability to sync more than one phone number from the 3CX phonebook to IP phones is a feature which I understand has been in demand for many years and is still not possible (https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/snom-phonebook-queued-for-development.48088/) - do we have any idea if / when this will become available?
Telling our customers that their nice new phone system needs some janky workarounds to work as they expect is less than ideal...
