Hi,

I'm having issues with Snom D765/715 phones un-registering and re-registering multiple times per day (This has caused a dropped call at least once). My setup is relatively straightforward with fewer than 20 phones total on a small office network (including handsets and Windows clients). The PBX is the Debian version of 3CX running on top of a Hyper-V VM. Are there any common issues which could cause this sort of problem? Anywhere I should look first?

Thanks!

So you haven't mentioned what version of 3CX nor confirmed the the use of stock templates and firmware. Assuming you are doing everything by the book and are on the latest version and did you follow the 3CX Hyper-V guide, particularly the part about NTP?

I would run a Wireshark from the phone (under PCAP on a snom) and at the same time run a PCAP from the PBX system and see if the phones are sending the REGISTER messages and if they are reaching the PBX and if it is responding.

snom's support a re-registration timer: http://wiki.snom.com/Settings/user_expiry

This is the interval (in seconds) for the IP phone to retry to re-register account when registration fails.

It would be worth checking if this is on the defaults, and if it could potentially be set to high.
