Since v20, the trick of setting an extension to registered using the ring my mobile doesn't work anymore, because after a couple of rings the caller receives a message that says the number is not registered or there are no available routes, being the cell phone number a fake one
The scenario is this:
an office with 5 departments with 2-3 people per derpartment in different offices. Sometimes when the people in an office are not available to answer a call, other people in the office want to pickup the call.
with v18 we set up dummy extensions "pickup administration", "pickup sales" and so on and it was working fine.
Is there a workaround to achieve the same thing with v20? They wouldn't want to assign a BLF key for each extension because there are too many and it doesn't actually show if the call is internal or external.
I searched the forums and read that if you register the extension to 3cx mobile and enable push notifications the extension stays registered, but when I delete the account on the phone, the dummy extension shows as unregistered.
The only solution I found is to use *20*rg# but the led indicator always stays green, so the user would have to check the call panel to pickup the call.
Before it would be visible from the phone blinking blf so the user could tell easily there's an incoming call to administration and I know they are on a meeting, I should pick up the call
