Hi All,

My company is in the process to migrate from an old Avaya server to 3CX using Yealing Series 4 phones.
To make it easier to the users I am trying to have the same functions on the devices.

What I am looking is this... We have pickup groups so each one in this group can pick his colleague's phone as long as they are on the same group. Now on the ringing phone we can still see that there was a line and by clicking on it, the original receiver could pick back the line. The issue I am currently having is that once someone picks the number, then original receiver cannot know that someone rang them. Is there a way to create similar functionality?
Also, can someone tell me what is the best code to get Call Pickup on Yealink phones?

Thank you!

20 I use (which is the default. You are best creating this as a "custom speed dial" this then means that you can hit a single key each time instead of the actual codes.

Hi,

Take a look below to see how call pickup works on 3CX. There will not be a missed call because the picked up call is not considered missed if someone answered it.

Hi John,

I am having an issue as from Call Pickup Permissions it only works when "Limit Call Pickup to calls received in their extension group" is disabled although the 2 users are in the same Group and they both have the permission to pick up and see others calls

Hi George,

I tested the scenario you described but I could not replicate it, the call was picked up whether the "Limit" option was ticked or not.

I would suggest trying the following:

  1. Enable "Limit Call Pickup to calls received in their extension group" in the PBX Settings
  2. Double-check the user rights of the Group to be like so:
9687
  1. Remove the 2 users from the Group and press OK (this clears their group rights).
  2. Edit the Group once more, and now Add the users again so that they will inherit the rights of the group from scratch.
  3. Call user A, and dial * 20 * on user B's keypad and the call should be picked up
Note: I'm assuming your Pickup code is the default unless you have changed it. Also, you can pick up calls explicitly by dialing * 20 * {EXT_NUMBER}

Let me know if this helped resolve the issue
