Dude you talk security but use 1 login for more than 1 person...the desktop app for windows.
Sadly creating windows users accounts wont work as they all share the same windows log in which works with the rest of our systems.
We just need a way to log out of the 3cx app and for it to log out on shut down. I cant believe this isn't an option in the software just for security alone. We now have a situation where management are having their chats read because they cant log out of the app.
We'd go back to using the web log in however the wireless headsets we bought don't integrate into the web version as well as they do for the app.
You can logout. Just not automatically because it was not meant to be used this way.The same people use all the same system so there's literally no point in using multiple windows accounts especially as the system they use uses encrypted passwords but thats another convo.
3cx is the only system we use where you are not able to log out off
The only way to "log out" is to provision a new extension on it (using the Provision button of the Webclient.)@VasilisV_3CX yeah that's the problem once they've jumped on the pc and are busy they just start using it. If there was at minimum a log out button the previous person would log out forcing the new user to log in. If someone has personal chats on their phone there is no way for these to be protected other than the previous person hoping the next person will log in correctly. The current situation is a nightmare and almost most times we don't have people using the right extension. Not all people are computer savvy sadly which makes things challenging and as such things should be designed with an ease of use functionality. We wont be the only people experiencing this. The rest of 3cx is awesome its just this small thing that's causing a problem.
This has come up before on the forum. You could consider just using the web client (which does have a log out function under Exit Client) or the legacy Windows app (which allows switching extensions after all are provisioned, though doesn't prompt for a password). We've moved over to the windows client and no none of our reception team answer the calls on their own extension as the windows client logs back in to who ever used it last. surely this is poor security let alone function?
