Is it just me or does everyone else call the pound key the hash key? We have a lot of customers who call us scratching their heads wondering what the pound key is....

Why not download and use the UK English Prompt set instead - it should change this to hash instead of pound.

Goto >> Settings >> System Prompts Settings.

It's the fault of Twitter. Hashtag this. Hashtag that.

Very few people (other than telephony) know that it's actually an octothorpe. Many people here, (at least of the generation that don't use Twitter much) just call it the "number sign" as it's commonly put in front of apartment/suite numbers on postal address , as in #211-1234 Main St.
