We are using Polycom SoundPoint and VVX models, however we cannot get the correct DST to work.

The variabled are set, please the time is not working. 3cx support told us we have to Manually setup the time, does anyone a different solution?

<tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.enable="%%dstenabled%%"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.fixedDayEnable="1">
<tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start

Thank,
MK

So what exactly isn't working? The snip above only sets whether the phone should use DST or not, it doesn't set the start/stop time which would define when to change the time.

Ok I looked at the Polycom template. Do the following:

  • Go to the phones tab and select one of the Polycom phones. Press the '+Config' button to see the current configuration. Verify the DST start date (which is likely wrong).
  • Go to the Parameters section of 3CX and change the DST start date (don't remember if you need to restart services after this). Go back to that phone and check the config to make sure it reflects the correct date. If not, you will need to restart services.
  • Re-provision the phones to get the new DST settings.

Here is the Config section, the DST start date does not match the Parameter start date.

<tcpIpApp>
<tcpIpApp.sntp
lcl.datetime.time.24HourClock="1"
tcpIpApp.sntp.address="pool.ntp.org"
tcpIpApp.sntp.AQuery="0"
tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="-28800"
tcpIpApp.sntp.resyncPeriod="86400">
<tcpIpApp.sntp.address tcpIpApp.sntp.address.overrideDHCP="0"/>
<tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset.overrideDHCP="0"/>
<tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.enable="1"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.fixedDayEnable="1">
<tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.date="12"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.month="3"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.time="2">

</tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start>
<tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.stop
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.stop.date="5"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.stop.month="11"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.stop.time="2">
</tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.stop>
</tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings>
</tcpIpApp.sntp>
</tcpIpApp>

The parameter for this
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.date="%%dststartday%%"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.month="%%dststartmonth%%"
tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.start.time="2">

the value for %%dststartday%% is set to 12.

Does anyone know where this value is coming from?

In my settings, it is set to 10.

Thanks,
MK
