Hi Folks,

I have download 3cx free version - 6.1.0 on w2008, linksys spa942, and grandstream 4104 (v1.0.08) for FXO to PSTN.
I'll do the upgrade once I have proof of concept working.

Outbound calling works no problem.
Calls between extensions seems to work fine.

On PSTN In bound calling - my wife says I sound like Darth Vader with the sound of a light saber whirring in the background.
On the IP phone - the PSTN in bound caller sounds fine, however, the PSTN caller hears a remake of star wars.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Dean.

correction -- grandstream firmware is
Software Version: Program-- 1.0.1.8 Loader-- 1.1.3.3 Boot-- 1.1.3.2

Hello dbergsma and welcome
I have 4104 and it works fine with 3cx
this my settings
restore to factory set then reconfig it again

I had a similar issue with a linksys 3102 i had to increase the gain settings to +15 which made it crystal clear and even over the wirelss lan :)

What about echo after +15gain?

have not experienced any echo, no delay just a really nice quality voice... Try it and see what happens

What codecs are you using on your IP Phone and your Grandstream PSTN gateway?

711u

however, turned on pbx delivers audio. all is good.

I can think of two reasons: Either the RTP packet size not correct, or it's a simple firewall problem...

Cheers,

W.

changed out grandstream with patton, no problems, I'm happy with 3cx now.
can't say I would recomend grandstream.
