Hello,

In the scope of re-designing our 3cx servers we are trying to figure out which ports should be left open on our Firewall. I found this link:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/ports/

Please find my questions below:
1. Are there any additional ports not included in this list?
2. On what concerns 3cx webmeeting, my understanding is that external 3cx servers are used:
Code:
https://*******.3cx.net/join/[username]
2.1: Is this link configurable to an internal 3cx URL?
2.2.: If not and we use indeed external 3cx servers for the web meeting, it seems that this URL is using the default https port (443). However, why would we need to open this port on our Firewall? What I mean is that, an internal user will use a random TCP port to initiate a connection to 3cx webmeeting server's port 443. This does not mean that external requests will terminate to our internal port 443, so I see no reason for opening that port.

Thank you in advance,
George

On point 2.2 - the doc it is telling you to ensure external connections are available to those ports.
Some folks might block those ports - even 443.

We are using a custom port for presence and provisioning, other than 443.
My only concern is about 3cx web meeting, on which I would appreciate your input. I am not sure if that port needs to be opened on our firewall.

Hello @George Tsionos

For webmeeting to work you will need to ensure that for outbound traffic, port 443 is available and for inbound traffic you will need to forward your custom https port.

Hello @YiannisH_3CX
Your last response was exactly what I needed.
As usual, many thanks, this can be closed.

George
