Prevent users from dialing paging group (ring group)

We've configured a ring group as a Paging multicast group. How can we configure the system that only a few users can call this paging group? By default everyone can call this group.

The role "user" doesnt allow for paging at all but I bet you'll lose other functionality.

you would likely need to firewall your paging group first either a DTMF IVR or another extension with exceptions. I dont think there's a quick way to block who can dial what.

Everyone can call the paging group for the moment, even those wit 'user' role.

@Thomas Six have you tried to hide system extensions ?
I am not saying that the users will not be able to dial the Paging Group but if
they do not know the number, it makes it kind of more difficult.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not an option. On the reception there is a blf key to dial the intercom and they can see the number. So everyone knows the number

If youre doing it my BLF then, its not important for legit user to know the number.

Hide it behind another extension and use exceptions to send everything else to busy, forward to the paging group
