I often have the need to configure some queues to have 1 or more phones that answer with maximum priority and then, if it is busy or unavailable, a group of other client that rings simultaneously. If noone answer the call should go to a voicemail...
I looked at all the options offered by 3CX but I cannot find a clean solution... the escamotage I adopted is to create 2 queues: the 1st with the 1st group of client in ring-all mode.
The 2nd other with both the groups of client always in ring all mode. If the 1st queue goes unanswered in 15 seconds then it falls on the second queue.
But this way it's weird... and I cannot lower the time to less than 15 sec.

Does anybody know a better solution?

It would be simpler if there would be a priority associated with every queue agent... equal priority rings toghether.
This way it would be really simple to achieve this and even more complex goals.

It is also possible to assign different skill sets to the agents of a single queue.
There are five different skill sets available. These are numbered from 1 to 5.

The skills based polling strategies are Ring all, Hunt random Start, Round Robin and fewest answered.

What happens with these polling strategies is the following. The PBX will poll the agents within the 1st skill set, based on the configured polling strategy. The PBX will apply this polling strategy only between these agents in the 1st polling strategy. Agents in the skill sets 2 to 5 will not be polled at this time.

Only when all the agents within the 1st skill set are busy, on a call, will the PBX move on to the next skill set and poll these agents. When all the agents of skill set 2 are in a call, the PBX will move on to skill set 3, and so on.

Finally you can have destination if no answer with a timeout of your choice and send it to a voicemail

I didn't know this feature... And I understood why. :(

"Polling strategy is available only in the 3CX Enterprise Edition"
Unfortunately I have Professional Edition.
Perhaps it should be reported on the comparison chart, since it's an important feature (and I supposed it was included in the Queue feature).

I'll evaluate the possibility for this client to switch to Enterprise Edition.

Ah yes, you did not mention what version you have so I was talking generally.

If you click the + sign you can see all the options in the chart
