Problem registering SKYPE PSTN Device

During Skype Logon everything looks good, but:

I see connections from extern Skype to the gateway, but these connections are refused. How can I get rid of this 407 error?

Hi,

You need to login to 3CX and select your skype PSTN and remove the authenication password as detailed on the setup instructions http://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/skype.html

WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE OR RECEIVE CALLS (the Skype Gateway console will show
"407 Proxy Authentication Required")
- If you miss this step, you will need to edit the gateway settings after the wizard is completed.
Edit the Gateway settings by removing the Authentication password for the Skype Gateway
account. To do this: expand the "PSTN Devices" node; then expand the Skype Gateway node;
then click on the Virtual Extension Number of the Gateway Account (10000 in this example);
remove the "Authentication Password"; click on the "Apply" button, then on the "OK" button.

I found out that you will also get this error if you put the account in wrong.
I entered 1000 (1,000) and it should have been 10000 (10,000).
An easy mistake to make with all those zeros.
