Problems with outgoing FAX setup

Hi,

I have a 3CX setup on a windows 2008 server and I have just installed the fax role and the 3CX fax server.

1. installed fax role
2. Stopped fax service
3. Installed 3CX fax server
4. Startet fax service

After this I should be able to see the "3CX fax device" under devices in the "Microsoft fax service manager", but there are no devices shown.

Have anyone had this issue, a solution or a hint to solve this problem ?
Is there a way I can see if the 3CX fax server is correct installed ?

I'm having the same issue.

The 3CX Server (7.1) is an ESX VM running Server 2003 x64 R2 SP2 and is fully patched. I followed the exact same steps with no joy. Any thoughts? I can get as far as restarting the fax Service, but it won't find the 3CX Fax device.

Hi,

Unfortunately 64 bit servers are not yet supported for outbound fax. However we are working on this as we speak and hope to have a resolution over the next few weeks.
