I need to program 8 phones for remote use and the client is 15 miles away. Would it behoove me to program onsite and then take offsite or is it just as easy to program them remotely?

If you have to take the sets to he sites anyway, then it's just as easy to programme them ahead of time. Gaining remote access to a set even after it is installed may be tricky unless you have VPN access to the remote network or the set has a public IP.

Getting access to a set not yet provisioned, that is using DHCP (no fixed IP), will be even trickier. It's not impossible, but why not go the easy route and do them ahead of time. If they need any tweaking later, then deal with trying to get in remotely.

ok so I wil lbring them onsite to program but when I take them offsite do they need a change in configuration or would they be GTG as is?
