I would like to know if there is a proper way of specifying a non-standard port for SMTP in the 3CX mail server configuration?

Apart from that, if anybody from 3CX is listening; it would be great to have a button by the configuration to instantly send a test email by clicking.

Hi Hccj,

There are two ways to specify a non-standard port for SMTP in the mail server configurations.
Method 1 :
Navigate to mail server tab and for the mail server field, type in the colon symbol followed by the port number (no spaces)
EX: smtp.contoso.com:25

Method 2:
Navigate to Custom Parameters. Settings >> Advanced >> Custom Parameters and search for MLSRVPORT
Change apply the port number to that name and click apply.
