Providers that allow port-ins from cellphone companies?

I would really like to get an area code and prefix of a local cellphone company.

Are there any providers that will allow port-ins from a cellphone company?

The idea being that I would get a local cellphone line and port that number to the provider for use with my PBX.

Well, you can check the list of US supported providers in the docs and try to see on their website if they allow this.

My guess is VoIP.ms or Net2phone would be your best bet. A cellphone number is no different than a landline one.

Rules and regulations on porting vary from country to country, but there are rules. Do a search on the obligations that both companies must follow for porting in the US, such as... https://telzio.com/blog/what-to-do-when-a-carrier-refuses-to-port-your-number

Most any number can be ported but most any provider. Pick a provider you wan to use and they should be able to check the number. About the only reason you couldn't port it is if it's still under contract.
