Hello guys, I have an ATA device (LinkSYS PAP2T) here and wanted to provision on 3CX along with an Elgin HST 6000 headset phone, but I can not communicate with the equipment, how should I proceed? My 3CX is on Azure, i would also like to know how to talk to the extension I have here.

You will have to provision it manually. When you say you can't communicate with it...i assume it is on your local network. Do you mean you can't log into the device, or do you mean that 3CX cannot communicate with it? Please specify.

There have been a number of posts dealing with the manual provisioning of Cisco/Linksys ATA devices, SPA2102, SPA112. the menus are all very similar.

lee, i can access both, but I can not make call to another extension, only via browser, the equipment in the picture can make and make calls through it, but I can not set to be extension and not talk to another other than through the web interface How do I identify the number of the other connected ATA and call it between extensions?

and I don't know how to set up the ATA on 3CX to play the black equipment in the photo.

Have you manually provisioned the device using the information from the extension you created in 3CX?
Have you checked the 3CX Activity log, to see if it is receiving registration attempts from the device? Do you have it set to use STUN? Are there other SIP devices at that location?

have a read through...

As i said, most Cisco/linksys devices are very similar, in particular the basic settings, required to get calls going in and out. The configuration of your local network, other local devices, etc. , can affect how well this will work. If you are using STUN, then the local port, on each line, must be unique to the entire local network. No conflict with any other SIP devices, that already exist at that site. It is different if you are using an SBC.

Extension 03 is unregistered, removed contact: sip:[email protected]:5063;rinstance=6a5f12ba840a3845, received from: 127.0.0.1

ii'm not using STUN.

If you do not use VPN, or a 3CX SBC, at that location, then the device should be configured to use STUN..

hum,

so how would i do the setup? I'm new to this world of telephony and I'm learning a lot now, would this STUN make me talk to other phones on the same trunk?

It's been a while since there has been a post involving the PAP2T specifically as it has been obsolete for a while., but, as I said, there are other devices, that are very similar. As a non-supported device, on 3CX you are on your own as far as the provisioning and troubleshooting. Do a search (Google works well) as there are examples of the datafill on a number of ATAs on the 3CX site, but, it is expected that you have some basic understanding, in using SIP devices . The first step is having the ATA communicating with the 3CX server and attempting a registration.
