Provisioning Template Syntax Checking

We have a v15.5 template we made for our Yealink T27G phones that has recently stopped working. When we provision a phone with it the phone comes online with it's extension but everything is blank and none of the buttons have their configurations. If we switch to the default T27G template it receives the default configs, just not the custom ones that we want.

Due to issues we had while upgrading to the new templates I'm thinking someone updated the template and created a syntax error. Is there a way for me to run a syntax check on the provisioning templates? I'm thinking similar to languages like php where it tells me what line had the problem and what failed.

I believe the template is just XML so any XML editor/checker should suffice.

Given the fact that there was an updated template for Yealink phones released, i would recommend applying your changes to the new template so you are up to date. Or you can use the default templates as custom templates are not supported by 3CX.

I want to clarify that the template we're having issues with is a modified version of the new T27G template. We add information for 802.1x and custom button configs to the phones. When we originally upgraded to 15.5 a couple of months back we ran into this same problem and it turned out to be the CDATA tag in the template got messed up. This time around we can't find anyone who modified the template so we're trying to find a way to test the template syntax to find issues.

During our testing we didn't find issues with the xml template. What we did find is that the if statements for the line keys isn't working. I removed the if statements for the line keys and it picked them up properly.

The way I figured this out was by loading the provisioning link in a web browser with the mac.cfg file (IE: mydomain.com/provdir/mac.cfg). I could see the output on my line keys was coming from the else statement if a line key isn't configured.
