This is more a request to the developers and the people who can. As a cloud focused MSP, we are migrating more and more of our customers from on-prem systems to Azure AD and manage their devices with Intune, it would be much easier for app management if the 3CX app was published in the Microsoft Store. Or at the very least have the MSI hosted somewhere public so that the Winget community repository can pick it up. Thanks.

Make sense. But last we checked, we cant upload to winget but its something they do if there is enough requests for it. You have the link to the desktop app, it gets sent out in each extension mail?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Not sure where you heard that about winget but its not right.
Winget isn't a store where you upload, it's a repository of manifests for the package manager to install stuff. It's the future of Windows app deployment, so anyone making software to install on Windows should be looking at this. The manifest just needs to have the installer be publicly available (usually a github or similar URL path). Info here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/package-manager/package/

As for the installer in the extension mail, that link goes to https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/3CXPhoneforWindows16.msi which is the old version (v16?) that requires the user to run the configuration file to provision.

Version 18 does not seem to have a public link. It can only be downloaded by first logging into the platform. Not sure if this is because the app is hardcoded to the tenant? I can see the download link is https://tenantname-voip.3cx.co.uk/webclient/api/app/windows

Although ideally the app would be published in the MS Store like the PBX systems below, that way we don't have to go around all our customer's Intune and update all the clients. The Store would take care of updates for us.
