Greetings all,

I've been trying to keep up with all the latest changes on 3CX concerning recent events and updates. I just want to make sure I'm following the proper direction here. Here are my concerns.
1. After the virus issue, we've been instructed to push users to the PWA app. Is that still a thing or is the Desktop App preferred now? To get the PWA, it requires users to be directed to the ext IP address of the PBX. If I do that, then I have next issue.
2. If I force all users to the external IP address, that limits our access to the 3CX Manangment Console which is restricted to internal IP addresses only. I can allow some public IP addreses to gain access, but we have a few too many users who have access to the management console for running reports. Which leads me to the next issue...
3. The latest update from 3CX states new reporting functionality from the Desktop App. Does that include PWA? If not, then does this answer question #1 where the Desktop App is preferred?
4. Am I missing any updates or notices that perhaps is causing this confusion?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @trp3cx if your installation is on premise then in order to use the pwa you need to implement split dns in your network.

With split dns using then locally the fqdn can point to the pbx internal IP address and you can use the pwa, external request will point to the pbx public IP address.

The admin console is available also with the pwa and web client so you can access the reports from there too
