Hello,

does the PWA still need the Browser Plugin to follow tel: Links or is there any other way to get this working?

Edit: and is it save to use?!

tel: Links are not supported atm. neither PWA nor Legacy Client...

The Browser Plugin also not supports tel:/ calls by foreign Apps like MS Access etc..

If you found a fix without using Desktop App; Please share.

That's a disqualification for PWA. To bad we have to use it for other more pressing reasons.

You can do tel links with the legacy client...

tel: worked fine for me with the desktop app.

The web client could do it in Edge too, it just needs this done by the webclient code…That can works for external tel: links too, just need Edge to be set as the handler for tel in Windows.

Code:
window.navigator.registerProtocolHandler("tel", "https://luma.3cx.uk/webclient/#/call?phone=%s","phone");

Until that's implemented one can run that manually in the browser devtools console..
