3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.8.9
Server OS, Windows 10 Pro
Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On-premise
IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware version, X7 v2.4.12, i16V/i32V 2.8.2.7009, i52W 2.8.13
Provisioning Method: Local
Trunk Provider or VoIP Gateway Make/Model, Gradwell
Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

I run a big red "UNSUPPORTED" setup :D, I use i32V and i16V intercoms and i52W indoor phones, I also give each of my X7 phones a second extension so that if they are on the phone when someone rings using the intercoms they still get notified. I would like some reassurance preferably from 3CX that this will all continue to work the same once upgraded to version 18 and that nothing has been done intentionally to break it and if I do run into difficulties that I'll be able to get assistance if needed reverting back to version 16 without having to pay for support.

Many Thanks

You can always get back to your v16 if you take a v16 backup.

You can pull the v16 installer from the 3CX portal.

3CX support wont support you if your set up is in an unsupported set up (which it is). However, you may receive replies from the community which may or may not include 3CX support.

Well you have to take a backup to upgrade to v18 if you are running windows anyway and I have already taken a copy of the v16 installer, I just had a feeling that once your license got upgraded to v18 it couldn't be reverted back without assistance from 3CX but I might be thinking of something else.

Hi @RichB,

Just to add to what @Saqqara mentioned, you'll need a v16 backup to roll back from v18.

I bit the bullet and upgraded to v18 yesterday, so far testing appears successful but there were a couple of early scares. I tried dialling in and being the weekend I received the out of hours prompt, I dialled an extension and was cut off but on a second attempt it went through. The intercoms in the management console weren't registered but the devices said that they were but after a restart they were fine. Video from the intercoms still displays on the X7's, i52W's and webclient on Windows and the 2nd extensions appear to still work as well.

Great to hear that you've resolved this @RichB! If you require any further assistance or information, feel free to open a new thread.
