I'm sure it will be on the blog when it does, likely at the same time they announce 3CX is supported on Debian 10.

Just a heads up that you will need to wait until the software is updated for Buster, (Buster is the first version to be able to use the pi 4 hardware). I didn't know this and have spent the afternoon trying to get it to run. At last I did achieve success on a pi 4 with 4gb of ram but it took quite a few workarounds.

criticalcool: Can you list out all of the workarounds for PBX? or SBC? Both? I just migrated to 3CX V16 Update 3 on Windows for the PBX. I've been learning about Raspbian to run the SBC on Pi and would like to get a head start! I can imagine how much more awesome the SBC is going to be with 4gb on a pi 4! I would guess it will scale to support much larger installations than today.

I just got SBC for V16 Update 3 on Raspbian Stretch working with Certs from Let's Encrypt. I created a script in PowerShell that is designed for a custom FQDN plus the script generates a Cert that is compatible with Raspbian SBC Installer that is part of 3CX V16 Update 3. The link from the Quote will get you to my script. My PowerShell script based upon the batch script from "nobody".

I would wait until 3CX supports the Pi4.

If you get the system to work on Pi4, you are not supported by 3CX.

SBC is critical to the running of your 3CX system, not to be supported.

I agree with the others! I would really, really wait for the update.


I say this because it took 8hrs for the workarounds to be done correctly and it is not recommended for the new Linux user. I had to start over from scratch about 5 times and install packages from the older stretch repository and the buster repository.

That said 3CX on the 1 GB PI3B+ (running stretch) works just fine with the instructions provided on the website:

(I did this as a proof of concept, I currently run V16 on Linux running off an old Dell Optiplex 745 with 4GB of ram and a Intel Pentium D @ 3.4Ghz. The Pi4B and the current machine should have somewhat similar performance for our use.)

If you can provide the steps on how to get this resolved, it would help the developers to deploy this to pubic sooner.
