I connect my yealink t29g with direct sip stun when working remotely

About once a month the device will become disconnected no service.

In 3cx the device is gone from the "phones" section, while no changes have been made to the provisioning tab of this extension

no RPS service errors in the event log

on the phone hardware itself i am unable to log-in to the account on the phone, which is how it was originally provisioned. "unable to register"

factory reset the device and log in with the extension and it's VM password, it re-provisions without issue, all is well...for awhile....

is there any way to extend the duration of this connection?

is there any way to restore this connection without factory reset and then provisioning the device?

Phones section only shows devices that are currently registered. So not showing when not registered is the expected behavior.

Not sure why you are looking for RPS errors. The phone does not use RPS after the initial boot/configuration.

Not sure what you are unable to login to the account means. Are trying to login to the web interface using the RPS credentials?

Have you tried simply rebooting the phone?

Where is your PBX? Is your IP Address changing on either your side on the PBX side?

if you are unable to log in to the GUI of the phone then you either have a faulty phone or you're not using the right credentials.

pbx is hosted by telin

yes i did reboot the phone.

the public ip of the phone probably did change

i'm provisioning the phone by factory reset and then logging into the prompt on the phone hardware with my extension and voicemail pin

once the connection is broken log in with this account through the phone hardware menu doesnt work - failure to register

This is the part that is confusing. There is no registration associated with trying to login to the phone. You either can or can't login to the phone, nothing about registering. But to login to the phone, either via the web interface or the phone menu you would use the phone web page password as listed in the management console for the extension, not the original RPS information.

Also, next time this happens I would try rebooting the firewall/internet modem/router. There's no reason that re-provisioning the phone should change anything

I would agree as above. If you need to factory reset and reprovision the phone to get it to register, then you also have to wonder whether the phone is the the one with the issue (stops trying to register).

You can run a capture next time this happens, and reboot the phone. After it boots up, end the capture and see if there was ever a registration attempt reaching the PBX. If not, then you know the phone likely sent nothing.
