Hello All,

I am trying to figure out how to record voicemail greetings for a few Aastra 480i's and Polycom 501's. I've seen a few references on the forums to dial 999 or 999# but it only rings a fast busy when I dial it. Any help is appreciated!

You need to dial the number you normally dial to access your voice mail number. This depends on the number of digits you are using for your extension. To see exactly what you need to dial go to the 3CX management console and under Settings -> General, in the section Voice Mail Menu you have the number you need to dial.

After accessing your voice mail, you need to use the options (including the option to record a greeting message) as specified in http://www.3cx.com/manual/3CXExtensionmanual7/extension7.html

regards

Worked like a charm. I had it set up on 4 digit extensions but was dialing 999#. I needed to be dialing 9999# instead, thanks for the help!
