Afternoon,

Had a bit of a weird one this afternoon.

A client wanted to reassign a extension to another employee so renamed it but then any previous recordings on that extension dissapeared.

Anyone had this happen before or can shed some light on why it would have happened?

Many thanks

Disappeared from the webclient or from the MC?

If you go to the recording path location, can you still see the extension number as a folder. If you browse to this folder can you see any files.

Is the filenames prefix with the old username ?.

Yea if I ssh in, I can see the extension but then when in the folder I can only see a few new recordings, the old ones have vanished, I thought the client "may" have deleted the extension but would this have deleted any past recordings?

They have said the only thing they did was click assign in the web portal and fiddle with that so I knopw there has been some fiddling but whether its a "I did it but wont tell you" fiddle I can't prove

Hi Shard Tech

Please take a look at the highlighted message below:

They must have wiped the extension clean using the Assign feature from the webclient.

My thoughts exactly, when clients say they were "fiddling" with things I'm assuming they fiddled wrong. and they did mention they looked at assign so thoguth they must have completly wiped something.
