I wish an outbound call to DID being routed to an extension: e.g.
an outbound call to 00123456 -> being routed to extension 001.

1) This avoided unnecessary outbound calls,
2) and avoid remembering extension numbers if DID is available (such as on name card)
3) call control as to some specific numbers.

With regarding to the solution provided by:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/redirect-outbound-calls.39476/

I created an loopback siptrunk, and it does route the calls back to the extension ( according to call log) , however, the destination extension never 'rings' ... which means no calls can be made.

I see two call-log entries
1. outbound call to 00123456
2. (@(Ln.10003@Loop)) to 001

anything I might have missed?

it only works if the destination is 'registered'

if the destination is a softphone (e.g. on iOS 11 with screen locked.), it simply missed call... (but with a notification, there is a call missed)..

Which sounds like an extension issue. From what you've posted, the call routes properly. Try sending to a different extension. Do calls from an extension to that extension work?

Hi Leejor,

thank you for pointing that out. Yes, I have problems with more than 3 extensions behind NAT router. (PBX has public IP in the cloud). I tried SBC to solve this problem, and it starts to ring now.

Updates on my progress:

I also tried using SIP ID to solve the issue, and it works.

The only catch is that different forms of same number can only choose one as SIP ID.
e.g. 01234567
(are code) 1234567
(country code)(area code) 1234567

all 3 represent same DID, but I can only choose one as SIP ID, and only that one work.

in other words it has to be exactly the same as SIP ID.

I wish 3CX has a new function to allow this internal redirection rather than hacking through loop-sip-trunk.
