Reinstallation command "/usr/sbin/3CXWizard --cleanup" will make backup files disappear?

I ran "/usr/sbin/3CXWizard --cleanup" because things went bad after the V20 update.

I tried to restore from a backup file, but the file disappeared and I am having trouble.

There is no way to find them because "/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Backups" itself is not there.

I am embarrassed to say this, but is there any way to restore them?

This will delete everything.... Did you saved the backup file somewhere else?

Hi Chickara,

Sorry to hear that this has happened. I realize its a bit to late to say this but when you are doing such operations its better to download the backup off the machine first, or move it to a personal folder. For now, you can look up undelete tools for ext4 partitions and you may be able to recover the backup possibly.

That problem aside, can you tell us what went wrong with your V20 upgrade which made you want to run the cleanup?

I have not backed up my files, so I asked the question with a slight possibility.

Regarding the error, I updated to the latest version of V20 yesterday and some V20 servers started showing "Disconnected. Reconnecting" messages and communication became unstable.

It does not seem to be a client-side problem, so I reinstalled the server, but it has not improved, so I am considering replacing the server.

I understood, it sounds like a network connectivity issue or perhaps the server resources are not enough to handle the load and the services are stopping. If you move to a new server, please make sure to install the OS fresh by using our latest ISO (found in your portal, under the downloads menu).

Hopefully you will also be able to undelete your backup.
