Hi,

Since U7, I've been getting the message 'Remote storage is partially configured. It is required to keep your system performant and easily updateable.' on the dashboard. As I read here, I need to check all available options for Data Archiving to remove this message.

In this context, I then discovered that I can no longer press the 'Save' button there. The error message 'Invalid login credentials' always appears, even though everything worked fine under U6.
I'm using SMB as the location type.

I have already tried re-entering the password, but unfortunately, that didn’t help either.

Can anyone tell me what changed with U7 or how I can get SMB working again? I can’t find anything in the changelogs indicating that anything changed here.
Unfortunately, I also can't find anything in the logs.

Best Regards
Patrick

On your SMB server, do you see a login attempt, and any relevant error? Is your SSL certificate properly uploaded, including all intermediate certificates in the chain?

Thank you for your quick response.

In the security log of the SMB server (Windows Server 2019), I don’t see any login attempts or similar entries.
There are also no entries in the SMBServer security log.

I am using a self-signed SSL certificate from our own CA. It is valid and uploaded under /var/lib/3cxpbx/Bin/nginx/conf/Instance1.

I have also tried a different user with a different password (both without special characters, etc.), but unfortunately, that didn’t help either.

Not seeing anything on the server would point to a networking/firewall issue.
Although if I understand correctly this was working, do double check this possibility. Running a telnet from the PBX to the SMB server/port might give some clue, as well as doing a packet capture, which should verify if the PBX is reaching out, and to what machine.
I would also say check the time on the PBX, but a wrong time should have still generated a log entry on the SMB server.

I've made a backup now. And it was stored remotely, although the error 'Invalid login credentials' was displayed under Storage.

Therefore, I assume that this is a display bug on the part of 3CX.
