Hi,

We've upgraded to V20. The Call Log report, which we scheduled for email delivery has changed i.e. field format, fields missing, etc.
This means we cannot import the data into our system for analysis.
We'd have to make a lot of changes to import now.

Is there anyway we can add back the original report to schedule as we originally did?

Thanks

Trevor

p.s. Are there any upcoming improvements to the reports capability as a whole?

We upgraded from V18 to V20 Update 3 yesterday. None of our scheduled reports were migrated, which is already a problem, but what's worse is that we couldn't restore the reports as they were.

For example, it is no longer possible to select a time or set a filter for incoming calls from external numbers.

If I have overlooked something, I would be glad if someone could tell me how I can set up the reports as before.

Cannot confirm. We will need to wait for update 5, and you would be able to create any type of report in Grafana, in the formats they support.
We have serious complain from customer side related to reports in V20. Customer wants to get reports in HTML format as in V18, not only CSV as it is now. It is very unprofessional from 3CX side to push us to upgrade from V18 to V20 even it is known that V20 has serious defect for report function in this moment. Please consider to include this feature in update 5 as it is planned.

Filter
If your provider is sending the calls correctly, they should be delivering the caller ID in the +E164 format.
This way, all external numbers will start with “+”.
Filter by numbers starting with and choose “+”.

TIME schedule
The schedule is now global.
All reports use the same time to trigger the reports.
System > Options > Scheduler tab

That would be up to the Grafana platform. We will push the call data to that platform and you will be able to do whatever you want with the data.

The output of the reports will be dependent on their capabilities.

I see the scheduler time can be changed.. but I don't see where you can change the day they go out.

Is there in v20 a solution to make a report for a specific queue rather than all at once?
It's very important to us.

The day is specific. Monday for weekly and the 1st of the month for the monthly

yes we used to be able to set the schedule for any day of the week.. also noted that after upgrade from 18 to 20 all previous scheduled reports were not migrated.

We have not yet upgraded to V20 but we are running out of time and the call reporting still seems to have a massive hole. We've been informed that we can send reports out multiple times in a day and that it's now 1 global time. Why can't we schedule reports througout the day anymore? We have a sales team who want to have their reports sent to them throughout the day so that they can see how they are peforming. This seems like such a basic feature why would that be removed?

You can have your agents set up reports to "Save to my reports only" and they have review their reports until their hearts are content.

Managers view reports not agents

In version 18, I had several scheduled reports that were emailed to director-level people. I waited to upgrade to v20 until the option to schedule reports was released. Last week, I updated to v20 update 3 and noticed none of my scheduled reports migrated over as well. Very frustrating to know that several of the scheduled reports I had built in 18 did not migrate.

One report I want is to email reports to department heads who have ring groups set up in their department.
Another report I want is to email a report to people based on certain extensions.

I'm here now because I have a similar issue like others.
Is there an update regarding the call reporting?

I finally upgraded to v20 last week after months of holding back so I could have support during our high season.
But yesterday, I found out that the six weekly customs reports that we used to receive at midnight on Sunday were missing from our inbox. I checked the 3CX report settings, and none of them transferred over. Long story short, we paid a lot of money to set up the automation from these reports into our call reporting statistics platform, which is now broken.
I still have the v18 snapshot on my VM. Can I revert to it without an issue?
We cannot afford to wait for 3CX to figure things out as our high season is about to kick in.

I appreciate everyone for the community help.

Im not sure if it would be possible now as your license is now updated to v20.

If you revert to your snapshot the system and services should work but you'll get an licensing error. Because after upgrading your system to v20, 3CX automatically converted your license to v20 and they don't allow you to convert it back to v18.

Only revert back to the snapshot if the v18 server was in a working state. Re-Installing v18 with config restore from a backup won't work because there is technically no v18 license anymore, only the v20. We did that mistake after we noticed some issues with the new version.

We also lost our license for version 18 by moving to version 20. Interestingly, there is no mention anywhere that by moving to version 20 we lose downgrade rights. Not even the partner for Croatia knew that.
And this thing with reports is a real mess. They removed basic functionality.
This solution with Grafana is not a solution.
Is it such a problem to return reports to 3CX ?
CSV reports are garbage.

While I cannot help with the licensing issue, I may be able to help with the reporting issue. In conjunction with our 3CX Exporter tool, we provide access to all the data 3CX uses for their internal built-in reports. This data is replicated to your MySQL, SQL Server, or MariaDB server automatically every X seconds.
1747860028330.png The example below was created using this Exporter data.

We can also export the legacy CDR files data in real-time. We read the files, parse the contained data, and insert the information into your database for easy access by your preferred reporting tool.
