Hi,

I am facing the problem with the Ring Group hunting. The call is coming to the first line, that is the Reception line, but not going ahead to the next number.

How to solve the problem!

Regards,
Deepak

Check the activity log, and this will show you more detail on what is happening.

When the call comes in, is the second extension busy ?.

Also check under forwarding rules for the extension 'Accept calls from Ring Groups' is ticked.

@Saqqara - Thank you for your reply. All the settings are perfect. The second extension is not busy also.

There is no separate inbound rule, can that be the reason. As the trunk settings itself is getting configured on the extensions to call, I felt it may not be necessary.

Since you mentioned a Ring Group, I assume the inbound rule (general rule) for that trunk, routes the call to the RG, and not an individual extension. The extensions will then be members of the group

Make sure your DID is not assigned to any specific extension (it will appear in the inbound rules)

Then go to your trunk and under "Destination for calls during office hours" select Extension, and pick the extension of your Ring Group

Thanks for all the co-operation. The ring group is working fine. It was issue with inbound policy.

Glad to hear it it was resolved
