Running 3CX v16 on Debian (followed guide here https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/ )

Have phones set to go to Ring Group first (ring for 20 seconds roughly 4 rings) and then if no answer go to digital receptionist. This has been working for about 2 months now, but randomly it seems that the phone only rings for 1 maybe 2 rings before going to digitial receptionist. No settings have been changed and even tried increasing the Ring time to 30 seconds; phones still only ring 1 or 2 times. I have restarted 3cx, patton gateway and even tried restoring our 3cx vm to an earlier date.

Also seems internal calls are causing this too.

Thoughts/fixes on how to troubleshoot further?

Run a packet capture from all point to see if there's a delay.

How are the phones connected to the 3CX?

...and what does the Activity Log show for the call? There may be a clue as to why it goes to the final destination early. If you physically remove one of the sets (at a time), does the other continue to ring?

I have a wireshark, but to be honest not sure how to "read" it.

Regular PoE switch phone system and phones plugged into it

Not sure this is what Frederick asked you, not plugged physical way but most probably,
Are the phones on same LAN with 3CX? or STUN mode or behind SBC ?

Thanks everyone for suggestions, just want to put this here for future. Reviewing the capture logs the timestamps are all over the place, as in they are not sequential. Knowing that I had a feeling it may be due to NTP settings.

HyperV and Debian do not like to integrate fully, so disabled time synchronization and enabled ntp on Debian to run a time sync on its own. All calls are working fine now.
