Having not worked on Pattons before, I may be missing something in the log, but, it looks as if it shows the call being passed (correctly) on to 3CX. The Invite (and there is an ACK) is sent at 4:56:52...but then what happens, when the call ends a few seconds later?

When you place a (failed) outgoing call, what does the 3Cx Activity Log show? Is he call being passed on to the gateway, then it fails, or does it fail before that happens?

Originally the calls came in, rang for 20 seconds, then when off to your providers voicemail. Do they still behave the same way before any changes were made at your end, but after your provider removed the VM? ? If you direct the trunk to one extension (no voicemail), and try to answer a call on that extension, can you let it ring for 15 seconds, then answer?

I checked for the codecs on both sides patton and sip phone for them to match because I read that it could cause this.

On an inbound call, the ring is passed to the extension but as soon as I pick up, it hangs up a few seconds later.
The caller still got the ring tone.
Then the extension rings again with anonymous and I'm still unable to pickup.

If I let ring, after 20 seconds ( timeout of 3CX ), the call is rejected as I have no voicemail on the extension, the caller is still ringing.
3CX passes SIP/2.0 486 Busy Here to Patton
On the patton, it is ack'd and I have
CFXO > [EP IF_FXO_0] Change state to RINGING BUT REJECTED.

I really do not understand a thing at all.

I will reload a backup on the 3cx and try again

Damn little box !
In troubleshooting 101 style, I should have tested all the ports one by one !
I was only using fxo0.
I moved to fxo1 and fxo2, it's working fine !
fxo0 and fxo3 are unable to answer nor make outbound calls, on the same line.
This is really annoying because fxo0 and 3 were working fine before all the mess with Bell.

I will contact Patton.

Compare Patton settings of working ports and non working. Compare 3CX Activity Log of a working call (ports 2&3) and a non working call. Where (at what point ) does a difference occur?

Ports are identical in the config obtained on the patton device.
In the logs, everything is identical to the point the sip phone picks up the line.
I'm not sure the device is sound.
2 ports on 4 not working and the other ones working fine....
I should source another one to test.

Was this device used elsewhere? Do you know it's history? New, Used?

It's a new old stock, never used.
But the fxo0 was working fine before the trouble with Bell as I was able to pickup an incoming call and make outbound call.
I don't know what the hell they did as I let the unit plugged on the line.

Don't know if there is a diagnostic you can run. Someone else, more familiar with the Pattons may have same ideas. Maybe someone at Patton support has some ideas for running a functional test on the ports.

Yes I opened a ticket and we'll try to figure this out.
I bought the patton to replace the aging vega 50 that I need to replace.
