Hello,
How Can I send a fax from pc via 3CX server?

One way:
  1. Setup windows faxing on a server-type computer - or your pbx box - or some other place from which you can SHARE a device
  2. Install the 3cx fax driver on that machine. point it at your pbx
  3. Configure windows faxing appropriately - share the fax
  4. Connect to the fax from your workstation
  5. Print to the fax like any other printer
  6. hope it works...

Another way (that i've actually gotten working):

  1. Create a new fax extension - lets say, 889. Create a password and remember what it is...
  2. Create an outbound rule for step 1's extension - send it to your T38 fax device - be that a specific voip provider, gateway box, or what not.
  3. Setup windows faxing on a server-type computer - or your pbx box - or some other place from which you can SHARE a device
  4. Download a trial of T38FaxVoip's T38 Fax Driver (http://www.t38faxvoip.com/download.htm)
  5. Install on fax server
  6. Configure with sip creds created in step 1
  7. Configure windows faxing appropriately - share the fax
  8. Connect to the fax from your workstation
  9. Print to the fax like any other printer
  10. hope it works...

Unfortunately, "hope it works" is part of both of them. People have had success with both methods. I've NOT had success with the former - only the latter. The only catch for the latter - it costs $$ when you actually BUY said T38Fax Voip's driver.

One VERY good thing to have installed while doing this - WIRESHARK.

Hello,
Thank You for help
I wonder in first way
How Can I install 3CX Fax driver?

and I think in second way you depend on voip provider

I need to use pstn gateway

Thank You

Neither depend on a voip provider - both depend on using T38 to whatever endpoint you have - be it a voip provider or media gateway like a Patton or what not. Your gateway just has to support T38.

To install the 3cx driver, basically download it and install it. in your management console, click "Link" then "Outbound Fax Server." It will ask you for the PBX ip address on install.

If it doesn't work for you - you're gonna have to seek help elsewhere (ie with someone else on this forum) - I have yet to get it to work - hence why I used the T38FaxVoip... which works WONDERFULLY with 3cx.

I have tested 3CX Fax server with Grandstream 4104. Works perfectly.

Hello,
When I tried to send the fax I got this message

"Fax server information cannot be retieved
The Fax wizard will close now."

Any ideas

Try to configure it according to manual

I had not received any errors

Hello,
I realise this post is quite old by now. I was wondering whether one of the two methods described still work. The first I don't think will work as the sending function has been removed out of the fax service in 3CX. The second option I don't know whether or not it function.
I am finding very little information concerning the sending and receiving of Fax. Any up to date info would be much appreciated.
