Session Border Controller Installation Failed

Hello,

I tried to install the 3CX SBC (http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3CXSBC12.msi) but the installation failed because it cannot start a service. I tried to install it on Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 and on Windows 8 but without any luck. In all cases i tried to installed it as Administrator. Can someone send me the correct exe file? Thanks!

Hi!

I also had this issue and apparently it was caused by downloading a peculiar version of the installer. The way I fixed it was:
- Delete the file you have stored on you machine.
- Clear the browser history (or use private browsing mode).
- Input the link to the file you already have (http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3CXSBC12.msi) and re-download the file
- The correct file size you should get is ~1.9MB and not ~2.2MB.
- If you are still getting the wrong file download and use a different browser.

This worked for me.
