We pay Voxtelsys for 2 Concurrent Calls. We have our 3CX package as: Type Professional Annual 4 Simultaneous Calls
In 3CX, under Voice & Chat, Voxtelsys (Trunk) in the Options tab, it shows, "Number of sim calls per trunk" * I am thinking this is suppose to be 2, but I was reading about having a higher number of incoming calls based on bandwidth, etc. Right now, one of my customers is saying when someone tries to call in, the other person on the phone gets cut off. It is suppose to wait in the queue until someone is available. Anyone have any insight on this. Thanks

Hi @TownTech,
Do you have a ticket open with support or sales yet?

While it is best practive to match the CC of Voxtelesys with the CC limit on the 3CX trunk, it is not going hurt anything if your 3CX line count is higher than your Voxtelesys. Voxtelesys will end up limiting the calls vs the PBX having to do it.

Hello TownTech,

a) The call limit has nothing to do with bandwith.
b) Set the Trunk call limit (to same as provider) in your case, limit: 2
c) Existing call should never drop when new call comes in, NEVER.

So you have a problem with dropping existing call when new call come into the system.
-> This is just a guess, as you have not mentioned anything about the setup, but i think you have not setup a SBC, but are working with STUN or local LAN setup, behinde a firewall with SIP Alg. enabled.
Is this the case? What is the setup?

If your provider is limiting calls to 2, then if two trunks are engaged, incoming caller 3 should get either a busy tone, or some other message, indicating all trunks are busy. As mentioned, the call should not simply drop. You might want to check the 3CX Activity Log after one of those dropped calls.
You might also confirm with your provider, that the two call limit also applies to calls that you originate. They may allow more,as it means more revenue for them, and that is where the concurrent call limit in 3CX comes into play. If they do allow more than 2 outgoing calls from you, the 3CX trunk limit prevents a call attempt, to the provider, and then a rejection.

SBC is a router phone (Fanvil 62), I also have a Grandstream HT801 for an analog phone they have.
We use a Unifi Gateway Router

To add on to the above, the 4 Simultaneous Calls in 3CX includes internal calls. Two extensions talking to each other is 1 SC but zero external calls.
