A client is reporting that CallerID is displaying as "Unknown". I've confirmed that Outbound CallerID on the SIP is correct. I've spoken with my SIP provider, and they indicate that the information needs to be adjusted.

Currently, the software is sending"From: "XXXXXXXXXX" <sip:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:5060...>"

But the SIP provider requires it to be sent as "From: <sip: XXXXXXXXXX@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5060...>".

Is there a way I can flip this in Outbound Parameters? I've tried a number of configurations, and even matched the settings to another 3CX client that is not experiencing CallerID issues, and utilize the same SIP provider. I think it's SIP provider related, but because it's being sent incorrectly, they won't investigate further.

Wireshark will tell you what you need to know. It seems like you've found the outbound parameters section of the SIP Trunk so once you'd made those changes, wireshark an example and send it to your provider as proof that it's leaving your PBX properly.

If you list the name of your provider, someone use the same, may be able to point you in the right direction, without any trial and error.

If this is not a supported provider, you can contact them directly and ask them which field they read the caller ID from.

Also note, many providers have their own customer portal from which you can configure some settings. For example the account may be configured to always send anonymous to the other side, hence if your client calls a destination their ID will not be visible.
