Hi,

A customer of ours is having an issue where the Sip server keeps failing and we keep needing to restart!

They are hosted on AWS and we have upgraded their server but the issue still occurs

If anyone could offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

What exactly happens, in the Dashboard --> Services you see the SIP Server stopped and you need to start it again?
Also how did you initially deploy the machine?

What version of the PBX are you currently running and what Debian version are you on?

Hi,

Yes whenever it goes down (As often as once a week) we need to restart the service.

The machine is hosted on AWS on a windows server 2015.

Version: 16.0.1078

Guess you have a server 2016 and not 2015

Anything is the event logs that may indicate why the service stops.

I have checked the event logs and I can't see anything to say there service was stopped.

I can see that the service was started, but there is no event showing when it stopped.

There is a SIP Request Warning from around the time it went off, with this reason: Reason: Block WAN requests is ON

Could this be related?

May I ask why you preferred to use a Windows VM in AWS?
Generally we have not tested this combo (AWS + Windows).

My suggestions would be to install on a tested configuration, like Debian on AWS.
You could deploy this way easily via your Customer Portal, or ny using the marketplace image:

Apart from this having been tested, I imagine it would be way cheaper as well, just my 2 cents.

We are using call logging/reporting software which requires a Windows server, so unfortunately this isn't an option.
