Hi everyone,

I've been trying to set up a SIP Trunk from my local telecom provider in 3CX but can't get it to work. I'm getting "403 Forbidden" errors from the SIP server's side. Using Wireshark I can see that the authentication ID from my provider gets changed by the 3CX server. The ID contains an "@" character which gets changed to "%41" (the ASCII format of "@"). My authentication ID is of the format "[email protected]" but it gets changed by 3CX to "xxxxxxxx%40ims.imscore.net" (visible in the image below).

I'm setting the trunk up as a Generic provider.

I included a screenshot of the Wireshark capture of the provider's response below.

Are there any ways to workaround this issue?

You could try something like this:

OR

This is my best guess.

If not, what leejor said, the above links provide quite a lot of information about this which others have also had.
