When trying to setup a "register/account based" trunk, changing the drop down "Type of Authentication" to "Register/Account based" is ignored by the ford and set back to its default "Do not require - IP Based".

Consequently the registration fails.

Is there any way to setup a trunk another way - or a bug work around? It does not work in Edge, Chrome and Firefox in their most recent version.

This problem is reproducible.

This should work perfectly fine, I have done it myself several times, please however provide information on the provider you are trying to install, and whether they are supported or you are trying to setup a "Generic" account.

Hi,

the provider is sipgate and I would like to use the basic version instead of the team version – I know it works, but the issue isn’t on the provider side. It is a bug in the front-end.

As described, the front-end simple does not store the settings as I want them. I meanwhile tried as trunk: Generic.

The issue is the same, it is a bug in the drop-down field in the front-end, reproducible at least with all modern browsers in their actual version. The drop-down does not change and keeps staying with: Do not require - IP Based under Authentication - Type of Authentication.

I did meanwhile - just to cross check - install 3CX on Windows instead using the Debian version... no surprise, no difference.

Hi,

I just have setup 2 Generic trunks, first one I select VoIP Provider, second one I select SIP Provider, and encountered no issues.

Please clear the cache memory of all your browsers and try again.

Hi,

I meanwhile found that with Edge, I don't have any problem in the Drop-Down and it works... however, Chrome and Firefox - even with cleared cache - do have this issue on my devices. Cookies etc. are enabled / disabled, both doesn't affect the issue and still it is reproducible. Both brothers show the Drop-Down wrong, as said in Edge it is correctly displayed.

However, the work-around to me is now using Edge.

There is absolutely no way this is a bug in the software (...and I don't say this with such certainty too often...) and I know because I do this at least 20 times every day with both Firefox and Chrome (I don't use Edge).

I agree its weird, but its either something with your browsers, or something very wrong with your 3CX install.
