Hello.
I am experiencing problems between extensions that are connected to the pbx through different vpns (sonicwall site to site vpns). The pbx is in my main site LAN. I have fixed the audio issues that I had, when setting visibility between phones. I guess I'll have to do the same between the ends of the vpns so they can have audio between them. Something that was not necessary with my previous pbx (Elastix).
So, the extensions that are registered against the same 3cx pbx, do they need to have visibility between them?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by visibility - Are you talking about presence?

No is the answer.

you just need to make sure the ports that 3CX requires, as described in the firewall configuration webpage, are able to traverse between your sites without restriction.

Alternatively, for the sake of ease, you may want to look at setting up an SBC at each location to make this a whole lot easier for you as it mitigates the need for reconfiguring your network.

Hello kieferschild, tanks for your reply. Ports are ok between main site and remote sites.
I meant to publish phone's ips so that they can see each other.
Thanks.

What you do mean "see each other" - are you having troubling dialling between the two sites?
Phone not showing up in the phone tab on mgmt console?
Extensions not showing up in 3CX client?

Extensions correctly registered in pbx. They can call, but without audio.

You could try "PBX Delivers audio" option on EXT settings.

Let's put it in simpler terms - make your VPN as transparent as possible, so that the phones think and behave as if they are on the same LAN as your PBX.

This includes everything including multicast which is necessary for pnp provisioning

Thanks for your tips!!! "PBX Delivers audio" option on EXT settings made it work!
Thanks again for your help.
