Skype for Business Plugin - not working

Hi there
I have installed the Skype for Business click to call plugin and followed the instructions at https://www.3cx.com/docs/skype-for-business-integration/. Despite several reinstalls the 3CX Call option never appears on the right click menu in SfB. Contacts have phone numbers associated with them on the SfB objects.

Versions are:
Server - 15.5.0 with Pro
Client: 15.5.12227.5
3CXSkypeForBusiness: 1.0.0
Office Professional Plus 2016: 16.0.4266.1001 (I have the August Skype for Business Update installed)

Any help gratefully received.

Hello @Bevok,

Please check if the following registry key exists in your PC:
- If you're using Office 2016 32 bits:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\4.0
- If you're using Office 2016 64 bits:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\4.0

If that registry key doesn't exist, then you might need to repair Office, and then reinstall the 3CX Skype for Business plugin.

Thanks for coming back Emesto. I do have the 4.0 key (32 bit Office) although there are no keys underneath it. I've done some Procmon etc but can't see any issues so I'm a bit baffled.

Having that registry key is just the first step. It's important, because that's what the installer checks before adding other values to the registry. So, now that you have checked this, please check if you have the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\SessionManager\Apps\{CDA5B0D2-80E8-4C90-8E0E-B10808B06A61}

That key should be added by the 3CX installer. If you don't have it, please create it, and then add the following values inside (if you have the key also check if you have the values inside):

• ApplicationInstallPath: C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\3CXClickToCall.exe
• ApplicationType: dword:00000000
• ExtensibleMenu: MainWindowRightClick
• LargeIcon: C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\Images\SfbCall28.png
• SmallIcon: C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\Images\SfbCall16.png
• Name: 3CX Call
• Path: "C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\3CXClickToCall.exe" "sfb-call" "%contact-id%"
• SessionType: dword:00000000
• TooTip: Make a call by 3CX

Please check if you have those registry keys and values.
