[Solved] Outgoing Call Not Acceptable

[TSlocum]

I have outbound rules for 7, 10, and 11 digit numbers. Sometimes when I try to make a call to a number with 10 digits, it doesn't work unless I dial 1 first. For example, an 800 number. Is there something I can do to fix this, other than needing to dial 1?

if you need to dial 800xxxxxxx [10 digits] to reach 1800xxxxxxx through the "trunk" YYY
then
add new outbound rule
it should be:
prefix - 800
length of dialed number - 10
remove "0" digits
prepend - 1
YYY as a route

move it to the top of the list of outbound rules
PBX will add 1 and will pass 800nnnnnnn as 1800nnnnnnn to the "trunk" YYY
other numbers which are 10 digits long and not started with 800 will be routed as is by your existing rule for 10 digits.

What type of service do you have on that patton? A PRI? Generally the provider needs the 1, unlike a cell phone. For 10 digit dialing i generally prepend a 1.

Thanks to both of you. I just edited my 10 digit rule to prepend 1.
