Hello sir,

Users complain that some voice calls from clients are too quiet to hear clearly, and they need to ask clients to speak louder.
But basically internal extension calls with each other are normal.

I'd like to know whether there is a way to adjust the voice gain from client, not mic gain.
And their calls will be clearer.

Right now the 3CX version is V18, and they use Windows app V18 as softphone to call and answer.
Even they use mobile phone app to pickup the call, some calls from outside are still too quiet.
Thanks.

Peter

Yes you can turn the volume up up on the PC or the smartphone. That's likely all you can do. But without providing more information about your setup, particularly how calls come into the system, there's no much else that can be recommended:

Hello cobaltit,
Thanks for your feedback.
You mean users adjust their volume with their own PC or mobile phone?
But they tried to turn the volume up to the maximum, but the voice is still unclear.
I'd like to know whether there is a way to adjust the default voice in system so that it can affect the whole system?
Do you have any idea to improve the users' experience? Thanks.

Peter

Hi Peter,

3CX does not have the ability to adjust the gain of the Audio (RTP) traffic as it is coming into the system and before being forwarded you an Extension.
The only alteration 3CX does to RTP traffic is transcoding, whenever that is needed.

Hello Nick,

Got it and thanks for your reply.
We'll try to adjust the gain of SIP trunk device to see whether it can improve the experience.
