Some questions about "Upgrade to V16 Free of Charge"

1. Free of charge only if maintenance period valid? "Renew your maintenance before 1st July and get your V16 upgrade free of charge "
What am I missing? If under maintenance period, it is not free.

2. "Your 3CX FQDN will be deleted - remote workers will no longer be able to use 3CX outside of the office. 3CX will have to be installed on premise."
What if we do not use 3cx fqdn but our own fqdn with our own SSL certificate?

3. "3CX Smartphone apps will no longer be available and you will have to use the web client or an IP phone to make calls."
Current apps for smartphones will just stop working if we stay on V15?

4. "3CX Mail notifications will stop"
We use our own mail server for notifications via email.
Will this affect us?

What license type do you currently have (annual / perpetual) and when did your maintenance expire?

The weird thing is that the maintenance has expired 2 years ago, and not on 2nd April this year.

all customers got moved into the Maintenance Renewal window (which is the 2nd April 2019). So you can renew the key and upgrade to v16 keeping you perpetual key otherwise you can trade the key in to annual and upgrade to v16 free of charge.

Basically, without a maintenance, the mobile app, the 3CX FQDN and the 3CX SMTP won't be available to you.

So yes, you better trade-in and switch to annual licensing. It's easier and cheaper on the long term.
