Solved South African Outbound Rule

Hi all,

I am in need of some help/assistance. I have recently set up a 3CX system in the cloud and it's working great. Except for this one issue i am having.

I am not able to call numbers starting with +27 which is South Africa's area code/prefix. This presents a problem when I provision soft phones for clients and all their contacts sync to the app starting with +27. Most people in SA save numbers with the prefix +27. Is there a way to fix the attached issue?

Yes I have looked at that setting. Do I need to create an outgoing rule to process E164 numbers e.g. +27?

If so, how do I go about creating this rule?

Hi,

Firstly you need to know what number formats your provider supports.

If you want to find out directly, you need to perform a test call while running a packet capture to see what your system sends, and what the provider replies. You can modify what you are sending and retry to see if the provider accepts it. The outbound rules can help you to allow the call to pass to the provider.

I contacted my provider and they said that they support +27 and 27, so all I had to do was deselect "Remove if same country" under E164 so that it would recognize +27.
