To make it work you might have to apply the fix to Api/V8/JsonApi/Repository/Filter.php described in https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/pull/8492. Otherwise the lookup for the phone number in multiple fields will not work. This fix will eventually make it to the standard codebase, but as of now it must be done manually.
