Hi all, a quick question...

Is there a "simple" way (eg. from the phone's web console maybe) to convert a T43U that is running as a normal phone to run as a router phone, without having to re-provision it?

The user is going to work from a different office for a week (same PBX, different LAN/WAN) and I figured that making it a router phone will be the easiest way for her to just take the phone with her and bring it back again afterwards without having to re-configure each time.

Or would it be easier to just point it to a different router phone when she gets there and change it back when she returns?

Thanks.

You can reset the phone from its web GUI so I’ve done this remotely…it’s been a while but IIRC log in to phone, delete from 3CX, add to 3CX, reset phone. Should be Settings> Upgrade I think.

Thanks Steve,
Yep, so I need to delete & re-add it for the user in 3CX, then reboot the phone. No worries, I thought that might be the case, but I was just hoping there might be a simple setting somwhere that I could "flick" that swaps it over to be a router phone.
Cheers,

Cheers,

Not doable, it needs to pull the SBC config from 3CX.

You can delete and re-add it to enable this feature but if you will also have to factory reset the phone to make sure it works.

Especially for people that have this option:

Thanks John. No problem. I was just looking for an "easy" way out, but delete & re-add is not that hard ;) .

Cheers
