So today (right in the middle of the day) our 3cx system went down. My guess is this was due to a Microsoft Windows server automatic update, but I'm not sure. When we got notice no one could call in, out, etc. I logged onto the console and noticed a couple things. First, the ip address was changed from 10.1.1.22 to 10.1.1.17 for some reason but the real issue is ALL of our Phones are gone in the Phones menu, extensions are still listed in that menu but with a red dot by each, and there are no SIP trunks listed in our Sip Trunks menu (we have 2 Pattons). I am probably missing other changes as well. I am amazed how everything just changed without any user input whatsoever.
Anyway, I am certain the only way to get this back up for me is a Restore. I have one backup (from 2 years ago) that is listed in the backup/restore menu. When I try to do a restore I get the following error message via email:
3CX restored unsuccessfully.
There were some problems during restore (see below), please retry again and if the problem persists contact your system administrator.
The following errors occured:
Commit failed on transaction Delete Wgateway.1: 10.1.1.203:5060 - Patton 1-4
Commit failed on transaction Save Wgrp.0: Restricted
Not a single piece of hardware has changed in the 2 years since this backup was made, the only thing changed was our FQDN because we went through a business name change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! (If I can get it working, I will be making daily backups from now on!)
