T42S: Multiple SIP (Or, alternatively, pick Which DID is used, and know which DID is ringing)

I have 2 DID's from BulkVS, and currently they are set up as 2 SIP registrations.

These are intended as targets for Google Voice, one for me, one for my wife.
I'd like to have the T42S (And soon W70P/WH73H DECT's) present both numbers and be able to:
1) know which number is ringing
2) pick which number is used for outbound calls
3) have DIFFERENT default outbound numbers for the T42S, and possibly differing handsets on the *70*'s.

Hi

There a few ways you can achieve what you want but I can't say whether it will work with your provider.
We do have a number of supported providers though in case you are having trouble with the existing one.

Also note 3CX does not support having multiple accounts per phone, just be aware of that before moving forward. If you have the know-how you could do it yourself but you might encounter issues that you will have to find your own way of dealing with.

Now with the disclaimers out the way, on to the supported method that should work fine on 3CX


1. Know which number is ringing: When you create an inbound rule in 3CX, the name of the the inbound rule will appear on the phone screen like so "Rule1:1777123456". Just name the rule something intuitive and choose to prepend it from Advanced > Contacts > Options


2. Pick which number is used for outbound: When you create an outbound rule in 3CX, you can define a prefix. You simply dial the prefix+destination, and you call out through the desired number

3. Different outbound numbers per extension: again via outbound rules, you can create a rule that allows you to define which extensions will use this rule
